Roofing and restoration sales in Maryland and Northern Virginia
This role is for an experienced storm-restoration salesperson who can generate leads, run appointments and obtain homeowner agreements. The internal team handles production after the sales handoff, allowing you to focus on your sales responsibilities.
What you will do
- Generate leads through door-to-door canvassing and outreach in storm-affected areas.
- Run homeowner appointments and inspect roof and exterior conditions.
- Explain the restoration process and set accurate expectations.
- Obtain homeowner agreements and record activity and approvals in the CRM.
- Maintain organized records and communicate clearly with homeowners and the internal team.
- Follow the company’s inspection and safety procedures.
Insurance coverage and payment are determined by the homeowner’s insurer. Explain the process without promising approval or a particular claim outcome.
Sales handoff
Your role ends at the signed agreement. The company takes over production, supplements and insurance paperwork. Commission payment is tied to the approval milestone described in the compensation terms.
Compensation
The role offers a fixed commission per approved job. When the home is approved, the initial estimated commission is paid the same day directly to your bank account. Performance bonuses are available.
Annual earnings range: $100,000–$250,000+. Individual earnings vary with performance and approved jobs; this is not a guaranteed salary. Discuss the fixed commission amount, what constitutes approval, how estimated commissions are reconciled and the bonus criteria before accepting the written pay terms.
Experience and requirements
- Prior storm or insurance-restoration sales experience
- Door-to-door or outside-sales experience and ability to generate your own leads
- Strong organization, follow-through and homeowner communication
- Ability to perform ladder and roof inspection work safely with appropriate training and precautions
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation using your own vehicle
