- Installation details: The repair should follow the requirements of the selected product and the roof assembly.
- Scope and follow-up: Confirm the affected area, exclusions, cleanup and any workmanship terms in writing.
Roof access and repairs require suitable training and equipment. A patch applied over a symptom may leave the cause unresolved.
When broader work may be needed
Widespread damage, deteriorated surrounding materials or recurring failures may make a larger repair or replacement appropriate. Ask the contractor to explain the evidence for that recommendation and compare the proposed scopes. Age, material availability and the condition of the entire roof should be considered together.
